How the Odyssey is Progressing... - March 23, 2006
For the last two years, Mikael Santana's new business ventures have required that he set all musical activity aside and concentrate on making a living. Thankfully, things are at a point where he has a little time to go down to Beale St. and catch up with old friends and make some new ones... and even "sit in" for a number or three.
Speaking of "old and new friends", bass player Slim Louis (who laid down the groove on Santana's first CD "Point of Departure") has returned to the Memphis area after several years of touring with Jason Ricci and New Blood. Slim can now be found playing regularly on Beale St. with Delta Highway. These guys are great and well worth checking out!
Welcome home, Slim, and continued success to you and the other "Delta Highwaymen".
